Previously on the Fugly Hoes: Reboot...

Even though he's in a committed relationship with Joe, Zach feels attracted to Nate. So they kissed, and Sydney saw it happening. Sydney, meanwhile, has been developing an eating disorder that only Angelika and Nate know about. Matt and Maya have been sort of dancing around each other in some sort of mating dance ever since Gina broke up with Matt and everyone already knows they're an item, even if they don't. Alison has the hots for Nate but that sentiment is definitely one-sided. Cass, Jackie and Perry have finally spoken up in Glee club and have thus finally gotten some relevance. Jackie told Lily the truth about her abusive drug-using brother and Angelika has been going out with Rufus ever since the Valentine's Day dance. Kyle's parents forced him to kick Lily put, who has been crashing at Joe's haus ever since. And that's what you missed on the Fugly Hoes: Reboot!

Friday afternoon, rehearsal in the auditorium

"Okay, guys," Mrs. Clarke spoke up. "Show me that number you've been working on for the last week, alright?" They all nodded. "Hit it!" Alison yelled.

Joe with the Note-Worthy:
If you could take my pulse right now
It would feel just like a sledgehammer
If you could feel my heartbeat now
It would hit you like a sledgehammer

Maya:
I don't admit it, I play it cool
But every minute that I'm with you

Kyle (with the Note-Worthy):
(I feel the fever) and I won't lie
(I break a sweat)
(My body's telling) all the secrets
(I ain't told you yet)

Lily (Angelika):
(Oh-oh) I struggle to contain
(Oh-oh) The love that's in my veins
(Oh-oh) And how it circulates
(Oh-oh)

Joe with the Note-Worthy:
If you could take my pulse right now
It would feel just like a sledgehammer
If you could feel my heartbeat now
It would hit you like a sledgehammer

Lily and Maya with the Note-Worthy:
You're taking over the beat of my body
You just don't let up, don't let up
You're taking over the beat of my body
But you lift me up, lift me up

Angelika with the Note-Worthy:
If you take my pulse right now
It would feel just like a sledgehammer

Kyle and Maya:
So close together, so far apart
You're turning me on and my fire's waiting for your spark

Lily (Angelika):
(Oh-oh) I struggle to contain
(Oh-oh) The love that's in my veins
(Oh-oh) And how it circulates
(Oh-oh)

It would feel just like a sledgehammer

Kyle:
The truth is out
No stopping now
I'm getting closer

I've had enough
Undress my love
I'm coming over

Ooh-ooh-ooh, yeah
And if you take my pulse right now
It would (feel just like a sledgehammer), hammer
Oh-oooh

Lily:
And if you take my pulse

You're taking over the beat of my body
But you lift me up, lift me up

Angelika with the Note-Worthy:
If you take my pulse right now
It would feel just like a sledgehammer

Mrs. Clarke clapped vividly. "Bravo, guys, muchos bravodos, thats was fan-fucking-tastic!" she screamed. The Note-Worthy were smiling through their heavy breathing. "Sorry for swearing," Mrs. Clarke said, finally sitting down again. "But that was really good. You've worked so well together as a group, it's amazing. The intensive dance training and vocal coaching seems to be working very well. Good job guys! You're so ready for Regionals, I can literally already smell the prize money. You can take five, guys, and then we'll start working on setlist ideas, alright?" Mrs. Clarke finished.

On stage, the Note-Worthy all nodded, high-fived and smiled at each other. When Nathan's eyes met Zach's, though, his smile disappeared. Sydney noticed and felt the tension, once again. But so did Joe. He leaned closer towards Syney. "Did they have a fight or something?" he whispered in her ear. Sydney was at a loss for words and started stuttering. "Ugh, w-well, I, I really don't, I, no idea, I-I don't know," she stammered. Joe just frowned at her. "D'you have a piece of fur for lunch or what's gotten into your cerebrum?" Sydney went beet-red and just walked away. Joe shook his head and walked towards Lily.

"Lawyer Barbie is acting more strange than usual. And I thought that wasn't even possible," he said as he sat down next to his best friend. Lily chuckled weakly. Joe frowned, again. "What's wrong, sweetie?" he asked her. Lily shook her head. "Nothing, really, I'm just spent. Dance training is really taking its toll on me, I guess, seeing as I've also not gotten a good night's sleep in a week," Lily explained. Joe smiled. "You know, the offer still stands. You can always crawl into my bed if you can't sleep. Since I'm not the tiniest bit interested in your lady parts whatsoever, neither me nor my mum will mind at all," he told her. Lily returned his smile. "I know, and that's very sweet of you. I guess I'll try. But I don't think it'll change anything. I just can't stop thinking about everything.." she trailed off. "Jackie?" Joe asked her. Lily nodded.

"Last night I was looking for a job again-" Lily started, but Joe interrupted her. "For the last time, sweetie, we're not gonna accept any of your money. You don't need to pay rent or pay for food or anything like that," he told her. Lily huffed. "I know, but I feel so useless just sitting around the house," she confessed. Joe scoffed. "Please, the last thing we think you're doing is sitting around the house. You help my mum so much in the household, it's making me look bad. Plus, my mum adores you. So stop trying to do more than you can handle," he told her kindly. "That's really, very sweet of you," Lily said, her eyes glazing over. Joe put his arm around her shoulder and Lily put her head on his.

"Anyway, that wasn't even the point. I filled out this online survey, you know, which job I should get according to my hobbies and preferences. They told me I should start working at the animal shelter," she explained. Joe chuckled. "Isn't that ironic? They tell you to start working at a place where the person you wanna see the least already works." Lily sighed. "Yeah. Oh, well. Just makes me wanna cuddle you up in your bed even more, I feel so alone now that whatever that thing between her and me was is officially over." Joe nodded. "God knows I could use some company in my bed. I'm starting to feel lonely, too," he confessed. Lily looked up at him. "Trouble in paradise?" she asked. Joe shrugged. "I honestly don't know. I really, really like him but I'm starting to feel like I like him more than he likes me. At least the past week or two. He's been really.. distant? I don't know, maybe it's just a rough patch," he sighed. Lily put her arms around him and cuddled up to him. "Well, you'll always have me," she said. Joe smiled genuinely. "I know. And I couldn't be more grateful," he said, pressing a kiss into her hair.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the stage, Alison and Matt were sat next to each other. "So," Matt said. "Seeing as you've got your stare fixed on a spot several inches next to me, I'm guessing you still got the hots for Nathan?" he drooled. Alison snapped her eyes towards him and slapped him across the arm. "Shut up, for fuck's sake. Someone could hear you!" she berated him. Matt just laughed it off and held his hands up in mock defense. "Sorry, princess. But, you know, you should probably tell him. You seem to really like him, why not try to actually be with him?" Alison scoffed. "He slept with Posh Spice. I'm not interested in her seconds," she shrugged it off. Matt chuckled. "Looks to me like you are, indeed, interested. Come on, let's go over there and talk to him," he told her, grabbing Alison by the wrist and dragging her up. "WHAT? ARE YOU INSANE?" Alison started yelling, drawing everyone's attention to her.

"Everything alright?" Cass asked her. "She's fine, just a chicken," Matt answered. He kept tugging on Alison's arm, to much protest from her. "Stop forcing this on me, Matthew, I can deal with it on my own!" she seethed. "Oh, please, as if you'd ever actually do it," he said, rolling his eyes. Finally, he tugged her forward in one swift motion and pushed her towards Nathan. "Matt don't-" Alison tried but before she could finish she slammed into Nathan, got her left food tangled in one of his oxy tubes and they both fell down, taking a stage light with them, which knocked them both unconscious.

"Holy fuck, what happened?" Maya yelled, running towards them. Everyone gathered around and tried to untangle the two of them from oxy tubes and cords. "Matt, what did you do?" she asked, staring at him. "They're unconscious..."

Alison was lying on a lounger on the beach, dressed in a white bikini, legs crossed, huge pair of sunglasses on her nose, her blonde locks sprawled around her shoulders. She sighed, contently. "Becca," she said. "Would you be so kind as to hand over my frozen strawberry margherita?" she asked the blonde girl next to her. Becca handed over her drink. Alison took a sip and sighed, again. "This is what it's all about," she said to herself. Sydney, on her other side, lifted her sunglasses. "Check out the hottie over there," she told the other two, who both lifted their sunglasses as well. All three of them fixed their gazes onto a pale boy with dark hair and circles under his eyes, an oxygen tube arond his head, strolling by them along the beach. Becca whistled. "Gotta get me some of that bubbling mancandy," Alison whispered.

Becca and Sydney:
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da

As the three girls started singing this 2007 bop, they got up and started following the pale boy around.

Alison:
So I was thinking to myself when you passed me by
"Here’s what I like"
And you were with somebody else but you can't deny
That's me in your eye

Alison with Becca and Sydney:
Do you know what it's like
When it's wrong but it feels so right?

Nothing in this world can stop us tonight
I can do what she can do so much better
Nothing in this world can turn out the light
I'm gonna make you feel alright tonight

Becca and Sydney (Alison):
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da (Tonight)
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da

Alison:
Baby, you and I, we got what will never be
You know I'm right
So tell me what you're waiting for when you're here with me?
Most guys would die

Becca and Sydney (Alison):
You should know (You should know)
What it's like (What it's like)
When it hurts (When it hurts)

Alison with Becca and Sydney:
Cause it feels so right

Nothing in this world can stop us tonight
I can do what she can do so much better
Nothing in this world can turn out the light
I'm gonna make you feel alright tonight

Becca and Sydney (Alison):
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da (Tonight)
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da

Alison:
I gotta tell you something
It's something that you just might like
No, it's not the same thing
Yeah, you'll learn I'm not too shy
You and I, we can do this thing tonight

Becca and Sydney:
Nothing in this world can stop us tonight

Alison with Becca and Sydney:
I can do what she can do so much better
Nothing in this world can turn out the light
I'm gonna make you feel alright

Nothing in this world can stop us tonight
I can do what she can do so much better
Nothing in this world can turn out the light
I'm gonna make you feel alright tonight

Becca and Sydney (Alison):
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da (Tonight)
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da (Tonight)
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da (Tonight)
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da (Tonight)

Alison:
Da-da, da-da, da-da-da
Da-da, da-da, da-da tonight

"Girls.. I need to have him," Alison declared. Sydney put her sunglasses back on. "Well, we better get going, he went into that karaoke bar over there," she said. The three of them crossed the street and went into the karaoke bar.

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

In Alison and Nate's hospital room, Sydney was standing in front of a floor-length mirror. She glanced back at the two of them to make sure they were still unconscious. When her gaze returned to herself in the mirror, she started feeling up her belly. Damn.. those two apple slices went straight to my gut. It's huge... she thought to herself. She stared at her own face. There were deep blue circles under her eyes. She walked over to the door, to check if anyone was nearby through the window in it. Then she went into the room's adjoined bathroom and locked it behind herself, picked up one of the packaged toothbrushes, ripped open the packaging and stared at herself in the mirror again. It's for your own good, she thought to herself. Sydney kneeled down and bent over the toilet before she jammed the tootbrush handle down her throat, making herself heave up mostly stomach acid and small bits of digested food til she couldn't breathe anymore.

Later that day, after school has let out, in the auditorium...

Zach was sitting at the piano, playing random notes and melodies, most of them rather sad. Lily walked in. "Feeling a little down?" she asked him. Zach smiled weakly at her and shrugged. "I've not had the best week or so, let's just leave it at that," he explained. Lily nodded. "So I've heard," she told him. Zach looked up at her, eyebrows furrowed. "Joe told me that he hasn't felt the spark in a while. That you've been a little distant.. wanna talk about it?" Zach sighed and bowed his head. "I'd rather not," he answered. Lily sat down next to him on the piano bench and played a few notes. "Wanna sing about it"? she asked then. Zach chuckled sadly, then started playing a new melody.

Zach:
I'm searching for something that I can't reach

"How cryptic..." Lily whispered.

Zach:
I don't like them innocent
I don't want no face fresh
Want them wearing leather
Begging "Let me be your taste-test"
I like the sad eyes, bad guys
Mouth full of white lies
Kiss me in the corridor
But quick to tell me goodbye

Lily and Zach:
You say that you're no good for me
Cause I'm always tugging at your sleeve
And I swear I hate you when you leave
But I like it anyway

My ghost, where'd you go?
I can't find you in the body sleeping next to me
My ghost, where'd you go?
What happened to the soul that you used to be?

Zach:
You're a "Rolling Stone"-boy
"Never sleep alone"-boy
"Got a million numbers
And they're filling up your phone"-boy
I'm off the deep end, sleeping
All night through the weekend
Saying that I love him but
I know I'm gonna leave him

Lily and Zach:
You say that you're no good for me
Cause I'm always tugging at your sleeve
And I swear I hate you when you leave
But I like it anyway

My ghost, where'd you go?
I can't find you in the body sleeping next to me
My ghost, where'd you go?
What happened to the soul that you used to be?

Lily:
I'm searching for something that I can't reach

Lily and Zach:
My ghost, where'd you go?
I can't find you in the body sleeping next to me
My ghost, where'd you go?
What happened to the soul that you used to be?

"Okay, well, that was deep," Lily started but Zach cut her off, turning towards her. "If I tell you a secret will you promise not to tell Joe?" he blurted. Lily just stared at him. "That depends on what it is, I guess," she said, hesitantly. "Lily, please. I need to tell someone, I need to talk about it and I can't talk about it with Sydney cause I don't think she cares," he rambled. Lily frowned. "Wait, what does Syd have to do with it?" she asked him. "She knows already, just- just, please, promise you won't tell anyone?" he begged of her. Lily nodded, slowly. "What is it?" she asked him. Zach took a deep breath.

"I kissed Nate. Or he kissed me, I honestly can't remem-" "YOU DID WHAT?" Lily shrieked. "What-what, why? Why would you do that?" she yelled at him. Zach stood up and started pacing. "I have NO idea why I did it, I don't even know what happened. One minute we were just talking and then-" he tried to explain but was once again interrupted. "You DO remember Joe, right? Your BOYFRIEND? How could you do this to him?!" Lily yelled some more. Zach lowered his head. "I know and I feel horrible," he whispered.

Lily stared into the empty audience. "Why did you do it, though? I thought you were in love with Joe?" Zach looked up at her. "I am. I love him. So much, I really do. I just.. I don't know, I feel like I'm just not.. as attracted to him as I thought I was," he tried to explain. Lily frowned at him. "And you're only noticing that now?" she asked sarcastically. Zach shrugged. "At first, I guess I didn't have any preference or just didn't care because it was so new and it made me feel happy and satisfied," he reasoned. "But then it just started becoming... regular. Like, sort of vanilla. And I don't know what it actually is that's bothering me.. but I know I'm not really satisfied anymore," he finished. Lily sighed. "Maybe that's normal in relationships? You're not in the honeymoon phase anymore, things are bound to become more like the usual, it's just not new and exciting anymore. But that doesn't make it bad? Or do you not wanna be with him anymore?"

"I don't know," Zach said honestly. "I don't know what I want for myself. But I know I don't wanna hurt Joe..." he trailed off. Lily stood up as well now. "Then you need to do the right thing and tell him the truth. He deserves to know. And if you won't do it, I will. Because, you're my friend and I love you, but so is he," Lily said before walking out of the auditorium.

The next day, Saturday afternoon, at the Sweeting haus...

Joe and Lily were sat on his bed, looking through their history notebooks together, when Lily just couldn't hold it in any longer. "Have you talked to Zach, yet?" she asked him. Joe looked up at her and shook his head. "I tried calling him earlier but he won't answer his phone," he answered her. Lily took a deep breath. "Okay, well, there's something-" she started, but Joe interrupted her. "Look, can we please not talk about it? Like, at all? It's making me really sad and depressed and, right now, just focusing on my homework with you, that's practically the happiest I've been all week. Which is pathetic, but it's true. And I don't think I can handle anymore depressing thoughts about my relationship-with-a-questionmark," he told her. Lily swallowed hard but nodded. "Okay, sure. Whatever you need, okay?" she reassured him. Joe smiled at her before looking back down at his history notebook.

Once they were finished with homework, Joe went over to Maya's house to give her and Angelika some more vocal coaching. Lily went downstairs and knocked on Mrs. Sweeting's office door. "Yes, dear?" Joe's mum answered. Lily opened the door slightly, peeking inside. "I hope I'm not interrupting, Mrs. Sweeting-" she started, but the older woman held up her hand. "Please, dear, call me Jessica. You've been living with us for almost a month now, I think we're way past formalities," she chuckled. Lily smiled and ducked her head. "Yeah, sorry. Thanks. Anyways, I was wondering if there was anything I could help you out with?" she asked Jessica. "Joe's out giving important life lessons to lesser talents and I've already cleaned the entire house, top to bottom," she finished. Jessica smiled.

"You, my dear, are by far the most hardworking girl I've ever seen. You know you don't have to help out as much as you have so far. There's no need for you to justify your permission to stay in this house," Jessica explained, putting down the folder she had in her hand. Lily's cheeks reddened and she nodded. "I know that, Joe has told me dozens of times. But I can't even get a job to support myself and if I sit around even for a minute, it's making me feel useless and like a burden and I don't want that," Lily sighed. Jessica gave her a worried look. "Why don't you come sit with me for a while, dear? And close the door behind you," she beckoned her in. Lily suddenly looked frightened, but obliged. Jessica chuckled. "Don't worry, honey, I just wanted to take some time to talk to you. You've been through a lot lately from what I've heard," she started.

Lily sat down on the chair opposite Jessica's writing desk. "It's actually not that bad. There was this sort-of romantic thing between me and.. another girl," she said quietly, going beet-red again. "Oh, please, you don't have to be ashamed of anything. My son's as gay as they come and I have no hard feelings about any of it whatsoever. So don't worry. Whoever you decide to like is fine with me," Jessica said kindly. Lily smiled again. "Anyway, she lied to me and so it ended before it could even become anything. And I'm fine with it, honestly. I was a little bummed out about the broken trust thing, but, really, when you know someone for not even a week, what kind of trust is there even," she explained. "So the only thing that's been eating at me is the same as usual: I'm an orphan. I was really happy living with Kyle," Lily started to tell, her voice growing thick with emotion. "And then he had to kick me out. And I don't blame him, it just.. ugh, it sucks, is all," she finished, a tear rolling down her cheek. Jessica smiled at her sympathetically.

"I know it must have hurt, dear. But rest assured that that won't repeat itself in this house. This is your home now, alright?" she told the girl. Lily looked up at her. "I can't ask that of you, it's way too much of a burden," Lily said immediately. "It is not," Jessica said, with a sense of finality. "The house is paid for and there's a spare room, anyway. So you don't have to pay rent. And you've been a great help in the household. So stop worrying, dear," she finished. Lily nodded, but still looked hesitant. Jessica smiled, again. "If you really want to help out so badly, you can go through my file cabinet and sort everything out. Bring everything up to date and throw out old files, yeah?" Lily nodded vigurously. "Here's a list of the patients I still tend to. Anyone's file who's not on that list can be thrown out," Jessica explained. Lily nodded again, took the sheet of paper and went over to the file cabinet.

An hour later, Lily was almost finished with the cabinet, when Jessica stood up and stretched her arms and legs. "Dear, I'm gonna go out to get groceries for dinner, do you wanna tag along or do you wanna finish sorting out the cabinet?" she asked. Lily looked up and smiled. "I think I'm just gonna finish this. I like the feeling of finished a task, y'know," she explained. Jessica smiled and nodded before walking out and closing the door behind her. Lily turned back to the cabinet and pulled out the next file. Ogilvie, Kyle it read. Lily's eyes widened. "Holy..." she muttered. She was torn between looking through the file and just putting it back.

Maybe there's something in there that could help me help him.. but I really shouldn't look through it. It's such an invasion of privacy. And isn't it also illegal? Like, there's this thing called doctor-patient confidentiality. If Kyle found out I read through his file, he c ould sue Jessica'... and  I don't want that. She's been nothing but kind to me. But I also wanna be able to help Kyle... ugh screw it. What's the worst that could happen?

Lily opened the file and scanned through everything. Thank godness for my photographic memory... she thought to herself. When she read through one of the note's, her eyes went wide. Suddenly, she heard the front door slam shut so she scrambled all the notes of the file together and hurriedly put it back into the cabinet, before getting up and rushing towards the door, which opened in that instant and smacked her across the forehead, sending her tubmling back onto the floor. "Ouch, fuck, that hurts," she moaned. Standing above her was Joe, giving her a weird look. "What are you doing in here?" he asked her. Lily just rubbed her forehead. "Your mom told me that if I wanted another job to help her out, I could sort through the file cabinet," Lily explained. Joe held out his hand and helped Lily up. "Stop helping around the house, I swear, it'll make my mom think it's the new status quo I have to life by," Joe started chastising her in a joking matter as they went upstairs to talk and chill.

At Maya's haus

Maya and Angelika were sitting on her porch swing, textbooks in their laps. "So," Angelika drawled. "How are things going with you and Matt?" she asked the other girl. Maya smiled at her. "It's going great, actually. I mean, we haven't officially labeled anything, but I guess we're a couple now. At least that's what it feels like," Maya explained. "Isn't it great that we both have boyfriends now?" she asked Ang in return, who couldn't hold back a laugh. "Yeah, I don't know whether I'd use that word to describe Rufus just yet. Don't get me wrong, he's great. And things are going well so far. We've went on a couple dates," Ang explained. "But they're rather platonic. We're taking it slow.. real slow. My grandma could probably pass us by at this rate," she finished, muttering. Maya chuckled. "Well, maybe you need to be the one to take it to the next level?" She suggested. Ang looked intrigued. "What did you have in mind?" she asked. "Well," Maya said, leaning in closer and whispering her plan into Angelika's ear.

The next day, Sunday, at the local hospital...

Lily walked into the hospital dressed in a candy stripper outfit she got off eBay. It must've been convincing enough, since no one stopped her when she walked into the staff-only parts of the building. She went into a room labeled "Patient Charts" and started rummaging through all the drawers until she found the one that read Ogilvie, Buffy. She slipped it into her bag and left the room again. On the way out, she walked by the admissions table and snatched a lollipop, putting it into her mouth before exiting the building.

Monday afternoon, during glee club rehearsals

Everyone was sat in their usual spot. Lily sat front and center, but was turned around towards Kyle, who was asleep, and watching him very closely. Next to her was Joe, who glanced over towards Zach - who sat on Lily's other side - every now and then. Zach just stared at the door, waiting for Mrs. Clarke. Angelika sat next to Sydney and looked at her, worried. "Have you been eating, Syd?" she asked her quietly. Sydney, turned towards her, face fallen in, dark circles under her eyes visible through the make-up, her clothes way too wide on her. "I've been eating. Mind your own business!" she snapped at her friend. Ang frowned, but was unfaced by Sydney's harsh demeanour.

"How are Ali and Nate doing?" she asked her instead. Sydney sighed. "Same as yesterday. Their vitals are stable but the swelling in their heads still needs to go down," she explained. Ang nodded. Becca sat next to Matt and Maya, who were smiling mischievously at each other. Jackie, who sat at the far left of the last row, kept glancing at Lily, hoping their eyes would meet. Cass and Perry were talking away next to her. Finally, Mrs. Clarke walked into the room. "Sorry for showing up late, guys, the teacher's conference took a bit longer than usual. Anyway, who wants to go first?" she asked the group.

Matt and Maya immediately stood up and Maya went over to Ang, dragging her to the front with them. "Angelika has something she'd like to sing, but we need to move this rehearsal to the courtyard for that. Everyone, come one!" Maya called. Everyone got up and started following them out. While they were walking through the hallway, the music started and Ang approached Rufus, who was standing at his locker.

Angelika (Matt and Maya):
Baby, where's the road taking us?
And maybe that's why they call it making love

And darling I will do my best (Aah)
I'm falling at the feet of your highness (Aah)
Don't need to ask, the answer is always "yes"

Outside in the courtyard, Angelika sat Rufus down on a chair in front of the stone steps and continue her performance with Matt and Maya.

Matt and Maya:
Oooh
Well, the least I can do is try

Angelika (with Matt and Maya):

The three of them finished the performance with Angelika sitting down on Rufus' lap. Rufus just stared at her with wide eyes. "Well.. that was.." he stammered. Angelika frowned at him. "I- I need to go to class," Rufus said, shoving the girl off his lap and rushing back into the building. Angelika looked after him, hurt and confused. She whipped her head over towards Maya, who looked at her like a deer in the headlights. "Thanks for the advice, Maya!" Ang said, turning around and walking away angrily.

Back in Alinate's dream sequence...

Nathan stood next to the stage, nervous about his upcoming serenade, when he noticed the three girls who had followed him around on the beach coming in. He sighed. They seemed to be up to no good. Then he locked eyes with Zach, his boyfriend. They smiled at each other.

Meanwhile, Alison, Becca and Sydney were searching the place for the pale boy from earlier. "Look," Becca suddenly said, slapping Alison across the arm. "He's on the stage!" Alison turned to Becca and grabbed her jaw. "If you ever slap me again I will rip out your lungs through your sweaty belly button, capiche?" she threatened the other girl. Becca just nodded before Alison let go of her and sat down next to another guy with dark blonde hair, his gaze was also fixated on the boy on stage. Alison turned towards the stage, then.

Nathan squinted his eyes against the brightness of the stage lights. "Hello, my name is Nathan," he announced. "And today I'll be singing a song for a very special someone." He then winked at Zach.

Alison immediately turned towards her friends. "He just winked at me," she whispered excitedly.

Nathan (with Kyle and Lily):
Under a lovers sky
Gonna be with you
And no one's gonna be around
If you think that you won't fall
Well, just wait until
Til the sun goes down

Underneath the starlight, starlight
(There's a magical feeling, so right)
It'll steal your heart tonight

Nathan with Kyle and Lily:
You can try to resist, try to hide from my kiss
But you know, but you know that you
Can't fight the moonlight
Deep in the dark you'll surrender your heart
But you know, but you know that you
Can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it

Nathan (with Kyle and Lily):
It's gonna get to your heart

There's no escape from love
Once a gentle breeze (Kyle and Lily: Once a gentle breeze)
(Weaves it's spell upon your heart)
No matter what you think
It won't be too long (Kyle and Lily: Not too long)
Til your (in my arms)

(Underneath the starlight, starlight)
(We'll be lost in the rhythm, so right)
Feel it steal your heart tonight

Nathan with Kyle and Lily:
You can try to resist, try to hide from my kiss
But you know, but you know that you
Can't fight the moonlight
Deep in the dark you'll surrender your heart
But you know, but you know that you
Can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it (Nathan: No-ooh)
Matter what you do (Kyle and Lily: No matter what you do)

Nathan (Kyle and Lily):
The night is gonna get to you
(Na-na-na, na-na-na)
Don't try, you're never gonna win, woah

Nathan with Kyle and Lily:
Underneath the starlight, starlight
There's a magical feeling, so right

Nathan:
It will steal your heart tonight

Kyle and Lily (with Nathan)
(You can try) to resist, try to hide from my kiss
But you know, but you know that you (Nathan: You know that you)
(Can't fight the moonlight)
Deep in the dark you'll surrender your heart (Nathan: Deep in the dark)
But you know (Nathan: But you know that you)
(Can't fight the moonlight)
No, you can't fight it (Nathan: Nooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)

You can try to resist, try to hide from my kiss (Nathan: You can try to resist my kiss)
But you know (Nathan: Don't you know that you can't)
Can't fight the moonlight
(Deep in the dark) you'll surrender your heart (Nathan: Surrender your heart)
But you know, but you know that you

Nathan with Kyle and Lily:
Can't fight the moonlight
No, you can't fight it

Nathan:
It's gonna get to your heart

As Nathan finished the performance, Zach got up and went towards the edge of the stage. Nathan bent down and the two guys kissed passionately. "Love you," Nathan said. "Love you, too," Zach answered. "WHAT?" Ali screeched. The loud, screeching noise rang through the karaoke bar until everything went dark in a blur.

In Alinate's hospital room...

Alison and Nate both woke up from their sort-of coma at the same time. "Ugh, meh head," Nathan moaned. "Shuddup, it huurrss," Alison slurred. Nathan took a sip of water from a cup on his bedside table. "I had a crazy dream about you," he said. Alison frowned at him. "Sensual..." she whispered. Nathan shook his head. "Not like that. We were on a beach and you were singing to me.. something about making me feel alright. It was weird," he said. Alison stared at him. "Shut the fuck up, I dreamt that, too. And then you were serenading Zach in a karaoke bar," she told him. Nathan went beet red. Alison frowned again. "So it's true? You're into Zach?" she asked him. Nathan slowly nodded. "Please don't tell anyone," he whispered. Alison took a deep breath and settled back against her pillows again. "How the ever-flying fuck did we end up in each other's head, though?" Nathan chuckled weakly. "No idea." Alison turned to look at him again. "What are you gonna do about Zach?" she asked him. Nathan looked over at her, too. He swallowed and sighed. "No idea..."

The next day in the auditorium, during rehearsal

"Thanks for that sultry rendition of the Pizza Hut song, Emma," Mrs. Clarke said, a fake smile on her lips. "Anyone else wanna sing something?" she asked the group. Joe stood up and walked onto the stage. "I'd like to sing something, Mrs. Clarke," he announced. Angelika and Maya also stood up and followed him.

"We've been working on this for a couple days now. It's pretty self-explanatory, so. You know," he finished lamely, then the music started.

Joe (with Angelika and Maya):
Hmm, ooh
Too much of anything can make you sick
Even the good can be a curse
Makes it hard to know which road to go down
Knowing too much can get you hurt

Is it better, is it (worse?)
(Are we sitting in reverse?)
It's just like we're going backwards (Angelika and Maya: Backwards)
I know where I want this (to go)
Driving fast but let's (go slow)
What I don't wanna do is crash, no

Joe with Angelika:
Just know that you're not in this thing alone
There's always a place in me you that can call home
Whenever you feel like we're growing apart
Let's just go back, (Angelika: back), back, (Angelika: back)
Back to the start, ooh

Joe with Angelika and Maya:
Anything that's worth having
Is sure enough, worth fighting for
Quitting's out of the question
When it gets tough, gotta fight some more

We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love
If it's worth having it's worth fighting for, ooh

Joe:
Now everyday ain't gonn' be no picnic
Love ain't a walk in the park
All you can do is make the best of it now
Can't be afraid of the dark

Joe with Maya:
Just know that you're not in this thing alone
There's always a place in me you can call home
Whenever you feel like we're growing apart
Let's just go back (Maya: back), back, (Maya: back)
Back to the start, ooh

Joe with Angelika and Maya:
Anything that's worth having
Is sure enough, worth fighting for
Quitting's out of the question
When it gets tough, gotta fight some more

We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love
If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for, ooh

Joe:
I don't know where we're heading
I'm willing and ready to go
We've been driving so fast
We just need to slow down
And just roll, ooh

Joe with Angelika and Maya:
Anything that's worth having
Is sure enough, worth fighting for
Quitting's out of the question
When it gets tough, gotta fight some more

Joe:
Nooo-ooh

Angelika and Maya (with Joe):
We've gotta fight, (fight), fight, (fight), fight for this love
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love (Joe: No matter how hard it gets)
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love (Joe: Yeah, yeah, ooh)
If it's worth having, (it's worth fighting for, ooh)

(We've gotta fight), fight, fight, (fight), fight for this love
We've gotta fight, (fight), fight, fight, fight for this love (Joe: Hey)
We've gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love

Joe with Angelika and Maya:
If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for (Joe: Oooh, woah)

Everyone applauded the sickening performance. Zach had tears in his eyes, as did Joe. Lily put her hand on Zach's arm and gave him an obvious look before getting up. "Guys, let's give them some privacy," she told the group. Everyone else got up and left the auditorium, too.

Joe kept standing on stage, while Zach was still sat in the audience. "That was an amazing performance," he complimented Joe. Joe smiled weakly. "Thank you. It was for you, in case you didn't notice." Zach also smiled weakly. "I figured. I think we need to talk," he said. Joe looked up at him, scared to death.

Meanwhile in the girls' bathroom

Angelika walked into the bathroom, just wanting to wash her hands, when she heard sickening gagging sounds coming from one of the stalls. "Sydney?" she automatically asked. The only response was another dry heave. She tried to open the stall door. "Sydney, for fuck's sake let me in!" she yelled, slamming her hand against the door. "Ok, watch out," she announced, before kicking in the door with a kung-fu esque move. The lock broke open and the door smashed back against the stall wall, revealing Sydney hunched over the toilet, with blood spilling from her lips, a scared look in her eyes. "Shit," Angelika muttered, just as Maya and Becca walked into the bathroom, too. "What's going on in here, we heard slamming?" Becca asked. Angelika, now neeled down next to Sydney, whipped her head towards them. "Call an ambulance! NOW!" she yelled.

That night, at the Ogilvie mansion

Kyle was sitting at the long, black, dining room table, staring at an untouched bottle of rum. His eyes were hooded but empty of any emotion. In the back, the giant wall clock was ticking away. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. The butler went and opened it and a couple seconds later, Lily walked into the dining room. Kyle's eyes lit up a bit. "Lily, what are you doing here?" he asked her.

Lily noticed the bottle of rum. "I think I have something we need to talk about," she said. "I was sorting out Mrs. Sweeting's file cabinet the other day and I know I shouldn't have done it, but I looked through your file," Lily confessed. Kyle looked up at her. "You did what?!" he exclaimed. Lily held up her hands. "I was looking for a way to help you. I didn't mean to snoop or find gossip. I was being genuine. And then I found this," she said, handing Kyle one of Jessica's notes. Kyle studied it, his eyebrows furrowed. "It says that your sister once mentioned your mom giving up a child into foster care because she didn't want another girl. And I got curious, because you told Mrs. Sweeting that it was merely half a year after you had been born," Lily explained. Kyle just stared at her.

"So I went to the hospital to check our your mother's file. And I found this," she said, handing over another sheet of paper. "That document states that the baby was a girl, born on December 29th, the year you were born, too. It was a premature delivery, medically induced. And then the baby was given into foster care..." Lily finished.

Kyle stared at her some more. "You were born on December 29th, the same year I was born," he stated. Lily nodded shakily. "And you were a premature baby, too," he stated again. Lily nodded shakily, again. "I had a friend of mine at the hospital cross-match my blood with that of your mother. It's identical. She's my mother, too," Lily finished in a whisper. Kyle grabbed the bottle, tore open the seal and chugged half of it down in one go. Lily whiped a tear off her cheek.

Sydney with the Note-Worthy:
Yeah, it's all alright
I guess it's all alright
I got nothing left inside of my chest
But it's all alright

Yeah, it's all alright
I guess it's all alright
I got nothing left inside of my chest
But it's all alright

Kyle:
Well, I got the call soon as the day hit night
As soon as the headlights lit up the Westside
I stopped the car and came outside
Cause I know that tone

Kyle and Lily:
I remember the first time
We wished upon parallel lines

Lily:
Of waiting for a friend to call
And say they're still alive

Nathan:
I've given everyone I know
A good reason to go
I was surprised you stuck around
Long enough to figure out

Sydney with the Note-Worthy:
That it's all alright
I guess it's all alright
I got nothing left inside of my chest
But it's all alright

Yeah, it's all alright
I guess it's all alright

But it's all alright

Oooh, oooh, oooh

Lily:
And now all my loves have come back to haunt me
My regrets, a text sent to taunt me
I never claimed to be more than a one-night stand and now

Joe (with Lily):
I've given everyone I know (Lily: I know)
(A good reason to go)
But I came back with the belief
(That everyone I love is gonna leave) me

Angelika:
And I know, oh, no
You've fallen from the sun
Crashing through the clouds
I see you burning out

Zach:
And I know, oh, no
That I put up a front
But maybe just this once
Let me keep this one

Nathan:
Yeah, it's all alright

Kyle:
I guess it's all alright

I got nothing left inside of my chest
